Branching out!

I've decided to get new materials to make other types of jewellery with.

Besides Hama beads I'm going to be working with polymer clay to make little kawaii style imitation food charms to put on necklaces and charm bracelets.

I'll also be making computer game-inspired charms too (pacman charm bracelet complete with ghosts and fruit that you can munch in the game will probably be first up!)

Baby steps.

I just placed my first wholesale order for jewellery supplies.

All I'm wondering now is: since when did "jewellery" become "jewelry", I don't like it when that happens to words. Poor yoghurt lost its 'H' now too.

In other news:
I think I might need to find out postage and packaging prices and really get this Etsy store up and running!

Right, short and sweet.

New ideas. One request, one just me:

Request: Lightning bolt.

Two things that are awesome!!

Read the title!! Here they are!

1. I made my first actual real proper full-on sales. Since the first one I gave was a freebie and the second was a present I've not actually technically sold any of my necklaces. But tonight I sold not one, not two, but THREE necklaces to my friends. SMUG.

2. This one is even better, a friend of a friend tonight came into the pub and apparently pointed in my direction and went "is that 'Pixelate My Face'?" How cool is that!

Anyway, before sleep tonight I'll hopefully be posting some new ideas up and an attempt at a lightning bolt which I think is pretty sweet looking.

DUN... DUN.... DUN!!!

You know how in movies when someone realises something or sees something shocking it sometimes does this thing where it zooms in on it in stages, each accompanied by a massive drum strike? Is that a terrible description of it? Yes.

Anyway, I had one of these realisations last night just before I was about to fall asleep, it went something like this:

See that?? SEE THAT??? BLACK BEADS!!

I had a whole bunch of them all along!

So that's allowed me to make a lil ole happy Pacman and a Boss Key. Photos to be up on the Facebook shortly.

"Can you tell what it is yet?"

Henry is officially finished and my first pixelated face is now up on the Facebook page!
Unfortunately my camera died a little before I gave my friend her face so I didn't get a chance to take a photo of it up close, but she did supply me with a photo of her wearing it which is ten times better! So now the Pixelate My Face Facebook Page has a profile photo!

I've decided to make keyrings as well as all the rest of it, and I'm in the middle of making one at the moment but I've JUST run out of black beads! :( So here's how the first keyring looks so far!

Can you tell what it is yet?

Extra points if you can guess which game it's from ;D

Tonight I "pixelated" my first face. It was my lovely friend Lesley and the feedback from my other friends is that "she will go plotz over it" so I'm sure she'll enjoy it ;D Photo will be up on the Facebook Page tomorrow.

Also just set up the template for a Henry Hoover that I've been requested to make, this wee guy's a cutie:
